Southern Foods was a pioneer in the meat fabrication world and enjoys a rich history dating back to the mid 1950’s when hanging sides of beef were delivered on rail cars to the plant. Highly skilled hand-craftsmanship continues to drive our success today as all our steaks are hand-cut by our talented meat cutters with an average tenure of more than 15 years.
Because each restaurant demands unique product specifications, it is our goal to age, select, cut, and package steaks according to specific needs. We continually meet the tightest trim specifications in the industry and are proud to provide you with exactly what you need. Feel free to order any size and any quantity. We don’t operate by any size standards or minimums. If you need 23, 7 oz filets, we’ll be happy to cut them for you. You can even specify the age you would like on your steaks. We keep a full range of aged beef primals on hand from which to cut, including both wet and dry aged beef.
Our cutting facilities are open five days a week so you can count on us for next day delivery. In most cases orders placed by 5:00pm will be delivered to you the next day.
You can count on us for quality assurance. Our facility is USDA and FDA inspected and closely follows the HACCP and NCDA procedures for cleanliness and sanitation. Our cut products are vacuum-sealed and kept at optimum temperature both in our facility and during delivery for safety and freshness.
