Southern Foods is the only fresh meat grind processor between New Jersey and Central Florida. All other distributors utilize processors that are many miles away. Our Grind Shop is located in our cutting facility in Greensboro, NC and is operated by a highly tenured staff. Just like our fresh cut steak operation, our Grind operation is staffed five days a week and in most cases orders submitted by 5:00pm will be ready for delivery the following day.
Our Grind Shop is at your service. We process a full line of standard grinds across all grades on a daily basis. We also proudly feature the Certified Angus Beef® brand specialty grinds. The Certified Angus Beef® brand grinds & patties are superior in flavor & consistency. Our specialists can also create custom blends, and patties can be formed in sizes, thickness, and shapes according to your specification. For example, we currently provide a “home plate” shaped beef pattie for a local minor league baseball concession. We also offer hand-pattied (tenderform) shaping and bulk pillow packaging.
We know that your reputation is on the line whenever a plate leaves your kitchen. For that reason we take food safety seriously in all of our cutting facilities. Our Grind Shop features a full HAACP program and an on-site USDA Inspector. We utilize a strict test and hold safety system for our products, and all of our grinds pass through bone removal and metal detection systems before they are shipped.
