Southern Foods is a very unique distributor in the Southeast’s food distribution network. We are a combination of Protein Processor and Fancy Food Purveyor.
Southern Foods’ portion control facility uses the talents of a veteran meat cutting force that produces product with the tightest trim specifications in the industry. In addition, we are considered a “custom cutter”. We take orders based on the number of pieces the customer requests. To complete the process we encourage our customers to give us any special cutting specifications with respect to ounce, style or packaging desire.
Certified Angus Beef sets Southern Foods apart from our competition. As a licensed distributor we know that only 8% of graded beef will be selected and the 10 science based specifications will provide the most consistent eating experience available.
Provimi, Marcho Farms, Smithfield and Rosen are the leaders in providing the finest lamb, pork and veal available.
Fresh Seafood…our operation is tight. We source product from sustainable resources and our “custom cutters” will provide the size and quantity that the discerning customer demands.
Southern Foods brings another dimension to the table with our extensive inventory of cheese. Stocking over 150 imported and domestic cheeses we have the variety to fit the need. Cabot, Roth Kase, Vermont Butter and Cheese, Rogue Creamery, Maytag, Ilchester, El Trigal, Montchevre, Tour De Marze, Valio and II Villaggio Dolce are a few of the distinctive brands we carry.
Dessert differentiation is key with lines such as The Cook Inspired, Galaxy, Plaza Sweets, Montione’s and dessert fillings from Mona Lisa. To provide ease of ordering many of our desserts may be purchased by the single unit.
We provide an incredibly deep selection of Hors D’ Oeuvres, over 100 different choices. Unique items from Dufour Pastry Kitchens, Pirom’s Pacific Rim Hors D’ Oeuvres and Chef's Preference make any occasion special.
Our mission is to provide nationally branded product lines that provide reliability and consistency. Our pasta lines do just that.
